BIO/CV

Artist Statement JaTaiRee Hudson Jr. (b. 1997) is an oil painter from Slidell, Louisiana, currently living and working in Austin, Texas. His work is deeply rooted in faith and serves as a visual testament to the transformative power of God. Through his paintings, Hudson aims to connect with viewers on a spiritual level, offering both comfort and conviction as he shares the message of the gospel. Each piece is created with the intention of drawing people closer to God, encouraging them to reflect on their own lives and their relationship with Him. Hudson believes that in today’s fast-paced and often chaotic world, many people struggle to find true peace and a sense of purpose. His work speaks to those challenges by offering a moment of stillness, clarity, and direction through faith. He uses oil paint not just as a medium for selfexpression, but as a tool for ministry, inviting viewers to see what’s possible when God is at the center of our lives. Accountability is another key element in his practice. Hudson doesn’t shy away from difficult truths or personal introspection; instead, he invites viewers to confront those aspects of themselves while also embracing the grace and peace that come through spiritual growth. His art becomes a mirror, reflecting both the struggles and the hope found in the walk with God. More than just visual storytelling, Hudson’s paintings are a call to action, a reminder that building a relationship with God is not only possible, but necessary for a fulfilled life. Through his work, he hopes to inspire others to seek deeper meaning, engage in honest self-reflection, and ultimately, experience the power of God's presence in their own lives.
